Terms and Conditions.
A reservation is made once a booking form, together with a deposit, has been received from you and Thornhill Expeditions confirms the booking in writing.
Deposits paid upon booking are non-refundable. The final balance is generally payable 120 prior to departure and the specific date will be advised on confirmation of your booking. Unless notice of cancellation is received prior to the balance payment date, balance monies will remain due and payable. It is your responsibility to take out travel insurance to cover this eventuality.
If final payment is not received by the date specified, Thornhill Expeditions reserves the right to cancel your reservation and withhold the return of all payments received, unless Thornhill expeditions has agreed, in writing to a change in your payment schedule. All prices are quoted in UK Sterling.
In the event of significant currency fluctuations and/or abnormal supply price increases between a trip being advertised and it taking place, Thornhill Expeditions reserves the right to alter the overall charge for the trip.
If Thornhill Expeditions need to cancel a holiday for any reason, a full refund of the amount paid by you will be made, however Thornhill Expeditions can accept no further liability.
Thornhill Expeditions reserve the right to change the itinerary or leader of any trip due to circumstances beyond its control. Any significant alterations will be notified to you, and any such alterations made will be of a similar quality to those described in the trip details.
When booking any Thornhill Expeditions trip, you acknowledge the risks involved in visiting remote areas and participating in potentially hazardous activities. You must have adequate insurance, details of which should be provided in your completed and signed mandatory Insurance Indemnity form. This insurance must cover cancellation and curtailment, medical and emergency expenses (including repatriation), personal accident injury and death. Additionally, it should cover loss or damage to baggage, personal possessions, and flight cancellations or delays
While we strive to provide the best possible experience, we cannot guarantee sightings of all wildlife mentioned in our marketing materials. Participants must always adhere to the instructions of our guides and staff. Any individual who is overly confident, eager, or reckless in approaching wildlife may be removed from the trip at the sole discretion of the Thornhill Expedition trip leader. If an animal is harmed or killed due to a participant's failure to follow Thornhill Expedition staff instructions, a wildlife officer may impose a fine of up to CAD $30,000 or more per animal. Thornhill Expeditions will not be responsible for such fines or penalties; they will be the sole responsibility of the participant.
Thornhill Expeditions will not be liable for any cost and/or loss you incur which is a result of: (a) your actions or the actions of a third party unconnected with Thornhill Expeditions which Thornhill Expeditions could not reasonably foresee or forestall; and (b) any unusual and/or unforeseeable event beyond Thornhill Expeditions reasonable control. 9. All names and addresses held on the Thornhill Expeditions mailing list are held on computer. Names are automatically deleted after three years if no booking is made. No information so stored will ever be passed to a third party. If however, you object to your details being stored, please inform us and we shall remove them.
